We offer diverse living options, learning and activity programmes, community participation and therapies to develop body, soul and spirit.

Our community includes over 45 homes at our main sites in Somerfield and Halswell, and in neighbouring streets. The Artemis Centre, Hōhepa Hall, management and administration staff all work from the Birchfield campus in Somerfield. This campus is nestled at the foot of the Port Hills amidst a beautiful 4 acre setting of lawns and gardens, complemented with a boundary stream and sculptures.

Nine kilometres away the Halswell Campus houses the Gaia Centre, hobby gardens, two tunnel houses, and an orchard all within a picturesque 40-acre farm setting. This offers a social therapy environment, where members of the Hōhepa community can enjoy activities like planting vegetables in the wheelchair-accessible raised garden beds and potting up native trees – all for the sheer enjoyment of getting their hands dirty!

We have also recently opened Melrose Farm for day services, just around the corner from Halswell Quarry Park. It encompasses vegetable gardens, lawn for outdoor activities and a house with a fully equipped kitchen, on a 1.3-acre garden setting.
